A genuine underground, West Coast inflected, progressive, psychedelic blues band from Sussex present a beautifully curated and recorded set kicking off with Quicksilver's 'Pride Of Man' and taking in Donovan (stunning version of 'Hampstead Heath Incident'), Dylan and John Mayall as well as obscure blues and folk tracks (a wonderful 'Portland Town') and two great originals. Superb guitar throughout. Fans of early Quicksilver, 1st LP Savoy Brown, Mighty Baby and all that '69/'70 hippy stuff need go no further. Originally a precious 99 copy only private release on the legendary Saturn label, only a handful have ever escaped into the wild. Fully laminated sleeve, NO BARCODE, features inner with full history and background done by the band with lyrics and replica original labels, designed by the immortal Bobby Blisters. Mastered by Reynolds Mastering, the kings of reconstruction and pressed on the old EMI presses by Vinyl Factory for maximum quality. As always pressing run limited to 227.

Brighton/Worthing based psychedelic blues rock band active 1968-1970. Only omniprescent member was Nigel Tannahill (pictured). Original lead singer was Gerry Sayer, later to be rechristened Leo Sayer once Adam Faith had signed him to a solo career. Rehearsal tapes exist of the original line-up with Leo to be released in 2024 on Bright Carvings CD reference series. The LP , One, was recorded in one day at the legendary Saturn Studios, 99 copies were made. Around 20 had a stencilled logo to the front made with a cut out cornflake packet. Only two have ever resurfaced. Barry Ruffell went on to Raven, whose unreleased Traitors Gate LP will come out on Bright Carvings later this year, then to Uncle John’s Band and the Rude Mechanicals. Nigel worked with Jo-Anne Kelly then became a legendary Guitar Dealer. Robin Bines was the first importer of Ecover products into the UK, the late Andy Cowan-Martin went into artist management, notably Bad Manners, John Mitchell became a noted Jazz Musician in New Zealand. Fully authorised reissue of One/1 available now on Bright Carvings
